:- 5.0 out of 5 stars from Penelope_Dawn -- Read It! : This is my second reading of this book (first being during beta review) and since I’m not typically a fan of rereading, the beginning of the book seemed to drag a bit. Sarra comes across as spoiled and naive, but that’s the point! Her character growth is noticeable even by the end of this first book. And let me tell you, once you reach the beach…there’s no turning back and everything that has come before it is so worth the wait. The scenery was descriptive enough to imagine it. The love between Princess and the cursed lord was fascinating to read. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Soulimpression -- Very enjoyable! : 4.5 stars. The Serpent Lord is an excellent story that I really enjoyed! It’s very well written and I was surprised to learn this is the author’s debut novel. The prose is quite lovely and was one of my favourite things about this book. I also adored Ares, he’s a dashing and selfless hero! I wasn’t a huge fan of Sarra especially at the beginning which is why I rated it 4.5 and not 5 full stars. However, Sarra grows from a spoiled princess to a thoughtful woman by the end and I’m sure in the next book I’ll like her much better! The twist at the end completely blindsided me so bravo! I definitely enjoyed this book and I look forward to the rest of the series! ( Reviewed in the United States on October 22, 2021 )
